Google has expanded its AI-powered Search Live feature globally, now available in over 200 countries and territories. Initially launched in the U.S. and India in July 2025, Search Live enables users to engage in real-time, conversational search enhanced by live visual context from their phone cameras. This expansion reflects Google’s commitment to embedding AI more deeply into everyday search and enterprise workflows.

The feature is powered by Google’s new Gemini 3.1 Flash Live audio and voice model, which delivers natural and intuitive conversational interactions. Users can ask questions verbally and receive audio responses, with the ability to continue the conversation through follow-up queries. This creates a dynamic search experience that adapts to real-world contexts.

Search Live is particularly useful when typing is impractical. For example, users can point their camera at an object, such as a shelving unit, and receive step-by-step guidance or information about the item. Integration with Google Lens allows easy access to Search Live directly from the camera interface.

Alongside Search Live, Google has expanded its Live Translate feature to iOS and more countries, including Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the UK, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Live Translate supports real-time translations in over 70 languages through any headphones, facilitating communication across global teams and markets.

These advancements offer enterprises new opportunities to improve customer support, training, and field operations by leveraging AI-driven, context-aware search and translation tools. The ability to interact naturally with technology through conversation and visual cues can streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Google’s global rollout of Search Live and expanded Live Translate capabilities demonstrate the growing role of AI in transforming information access. Enterprises should consider integrating these tools into their digital strategies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
